The sun peeked through the window. Logan woke up in his cozy bed. He rubbed his sleepy eyes. Today was a very special day. He would go to a new school. His big sister would be there too. He felt a little bit excited. He felt a little bit shy.
Mommy made yummy pancakes. Logan loved pancakes! He sat in his tall chair. 'Nom, nom, nom,' he said. His plate had a happy bear. Sister, Sweet Fizz, smiled at him. She ate her pancakes fast. Everyone was getting ready.
Where was Logan's backpack? It was a little blue backpack. It had a big green frog. 'Ribbit!' Logan looked under his bed. He looked in his toy box. Aha! It was by the door. Ready for school. He put on his shoes.
Logan held Sweet Fizz's hand. Her hand felt warm and safe. They walked to the car. The car was red. 'Vroom, vroom,' Logan whispered. Sweet Fizz giggled. She would lead him. To the big, new school. They buckled up tight.
They arrived at the school. It was a big, yellow building. Kids were playing outside. They laughed and ran. Logan held Sweet Fizz's hand tighter. He saw a big playground. Swings went high up. Sweet Fizz pointed to a door.
They went inside. The hallway was colorful. Pictures on the walls. A friendly teacher smiled. 'Hello, Logan!' she said. She had kind eyes. Logan gave a little wave. He felt a bit shy again. Sweet Fizz squeezed his hand.
Sweet Fizz went to her classroom. It was for bigger kids. She gave Logan a hug. 'See you later, little brother,' she said. She smiled waved. Logan watched her go. He felt a little bit lonely. But he was brave. Mommy held his hand now.
Mommy took Logan to his new room. It was the 'Teddy Bear' room. A super kind teacher was there. Her name was Teacher Bounce. She had a sparkly shirt. 'Welcome, little Logan!' she said. She knelt down low. Logan gave a small smile.
Teacher Bounce showed Logan the soft blocks. They were big and spongy. Red, blue, and yellow. Logan stacked them high. 'Tower!' he giggled. Other kids were playing too. They built a castle. Zoom, a little boy, watched him.
Zoom had a tiny red car. He made 'vroom, vroom' sounds. Logan liked cars too. He watched Zoom drive the car. Zoom rolled the car to Logan. 'Want to play?' Zoom asked. Logan nodded his head. He smiled a big smile now.
Logan and Zoom built a bridge. They used the soft blocks. 'My car goes over!' said Zoom. Logan pushed his car too. The bridge was wonky. It fell down! 'Oh no!' they both said. They laughed and started again. Teamwork!
Teacher Bounce clapped her hands. 'Story time!' she cheered. All the children sat in a circle. On a soft, green rug. Logan sat next to Zoom. Teacher Bounce read a book. About a little bear. 'Roar!' Logan whispered. He loved stories.
After stories, it was snack time. Everyone washed their hands. Logan had a banana. And little cheese squares. 'Mmm, yummy!' he hummed. Zoom ate crunchy crackers. They sat at a small table. With tiny chairs. Everyone ate happily.
Next, it was art time. Logan put on a big smock. To keep his clothes clean. He chose blue paint. Then red paint. He made a colorful mess. 'Wow!' said Teacher Bounce. Logan felt like a real artist. Splish-splash, went the brush.
Time to go outside! Logan loved the playground. He ran to the slide. Zoom went first. 'Whee!' he shouted. Logan followed. Down, down, down! It was so much fun. He climbed the little stairs again. The sun felt warm.
The bell rang. Time to go home. Logan grabbed his backpack. He looked for Sweet Fizz. Where was she? He walked with Teacher Bounce. He looked in the halls. He wondered if she forgot him. His heart felt a little sad.
Suddenly, a happy voice! 'Logan, over here!' It was Sweet Fizz! She ran to him. She had a drawing in her hand. Sweet Fizz gave him a big hug. Logan hugged her back tight. He was so happy to see her. His sadness went away.
On the way home, they talked. 'I made a blue painting!' said Logan. 'I learned a new song!' said Sweet Fizz. They told Mommy all about it. Mommy smiled big. 'Sounds like fun!' she said. They were both happy.
Back home, Logan had a bath. His PJ's were soft. Mommy read a story. He snuggled in his bed. He thought about Zoom. And Teacher Bounce. He thought about Sweet Fizz. School was fun! He closed his eyes. 'Goodnight,' he whispered.
Logan woke up. The sun was shining again. He looked at his blue backpack. His frog friend smiled. 'Time for school!' he knew. Today, he wasn't shy. He was excited! He would see Zoom. And Sweet Fizz, his sister. Another fun day!
