Mason, a blond boy with bright blue eyes, loved adventures. His daddy was a ninja, and Mason was learning ninja skills. One sunny morning, Mason, his golden retriever Koda, and his daddy set off for the Whispering Woods. Daddy showed Mason how to move silently through the tall grass. Koda sniffed happily, his tail wagging. They reached a sparkling stream. Mason saw a little bird trapped in a thorny bush. "Daddy, can we help?" he asked. Daddy smiled. "Let's try," he said. Mason used his small hands with care to carefully remove the thorns. The little bird flew away, singing a happy tune. Further into the woods, they found a grumpy badger blocking their path. Mason remembered Daddy's lesson about calming sounds. He hummed a gentle tune, and Koda softly whined in agreement. The badger relaxed, sniffing at Koda before lumbering away. They went to the top of Mount Whispering and found a hidden waterfall. The day ended with Mason beaming having helped others on his first real ninja adventure. Koda snuggled close as they went home, sleepy but happy.
