Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea, A little mermaid, happy and free, She dove and swam with the fish so bright, Giggling and playing from morning 'til night.
One sunny day, as she danced in the deep, A shadow approached, making her heart leap, An octopus large, with eyes so wide, Came into view, and by her side.
"Oh dear!" she cried, with a gasp and a start, As the octopus spoke, with a gentle heart, "Do not fear, little one," it softly said, "I'm just a friend, no need to dread."
They swam together, side by side, The mermaid and octopus, filled with pride, A friendship formed in the ocean's glow, A tale of wonder, where dreams can grow.
