The Fading Forest

Tommy the artist loved Colorworld more than anything. He made Colorworld with his crayons. He had special color-coded gloves to help him pick out the right colors. His favorite friend was Craggon, a little dragon he drew with just three lines and a bit of fire. One sunny morning, Tommy hopped out of his crayon box house and gasped! The leaves on the trees were turning gray. Flowers once bright pink were now a sad, pale white. Even the rainbow river looked dull. Tommy felt a little scared. He grabbed Craggon, who was napping in a pile of blue crayons. "Craggon, wake up! Something is wrong!" he cried. Craggon stretched, yawned a puff of smoke, and looked around. The dragon's usually bright orange fire seemed to flicker weakly. Tommy knew right then they had to fix the problem. Something very bad was happening to Colorworld and all of its fun colors. Colorworld wouldn't be the same if it lost all of its colors.
The Whispering Wind's Warning

Tommy held Craggon tightly as they walked through the fading forest. The air felt heavy and sad. Suddenly, a gust of wind rustled through the gray leaves, and Tommy heard a whisper. "The Red Realm… stealing the color…" it sighed, then was gone. Tommy and Craggon looked at each other. The Red Realm! Everyone knew it to be the place on the opposite end of colorworld. The Red Realm was ruled by angry Reds and was usually quiet. Tommy shivered. He didn't like the sound of that. He had heard stories of the Red Realm's grumbling mountains and fiery rivers. He knew this meant traveling through unfamiliar, scary places. He took a deep breath. "We have to go to the Red Realm, Craggon!" he said. He hoped Craggon wasn't too scared; Tommy was a little bit scared himself. They had to save all the pretty colors. Craggon roared softly in agreement, his little fire a bit brighter now. Tommy pulled out his map of Colorworld, drawn in bright yellow crayon. The Red Realm was far away, but they had to start their journey now. They knew they needed help.
Hue's Colorful Clues

On their way, Tommy and Craggon met Hue, a friendly, glowing crayon. Hue zoomed around, leaving trails of sparkling color everywhere. "What's wrong, Tommy? You look worried!" Hue asked in a cheerful voice. Tommy explained about the fading colors and the Red Realm's evil plan. Hue’s glowing tip dimmed a little. "Oh no!" he said sadly. He wanted the colors to return. "I might know something that can help!" Hue exclaimed. "The Red Realm hates all other colors, especially blue! They built a big machine to suck up all the other colors and turn them red!" Hue zipped back and forth, getting more and more excited. "But there's a switch that could stop it! I saw it in a dream! I can lead you there if you want!" Tommy grinned. This was wonderful. "Yes, please, Hue!" he said happily. With Hue leading the way, leaving bright trails, they hurried towards the Red Realm. They knew the red realm was very far on the map and they had to stock up on supplies. They gathered some snacks from the Lollipop Lagoon and water from the Rainbow River. Tommy and Craggon were happy to have Hue join them on their daring mission to the red realm.
Stopping the Red Machine

The Red Realm was a scary place. Red mountains loomed, and the rivers bubbled with red lava. Everything looked angry. Tommy, Craggon, and Hue crept closer to a tall, clanging machine. Red light flashed everywhere. The machine was sucking colors from the air, making Colorworld even grayer. "There it is!" Hue whispered, pointing a waxy tip to a big red switch with a bright BLUE button. But guards made of sharp, red rocks stood in front of it. Tommy thought hard. He looked at his color-coded gloves. He had an idea! "Craggon, blow a little smoke! Make a distraction! Hue, draw a glowing, colorful line on the machine to get their attention!" Tommy whispered. Craggon puffed some smoke, and Hue drew a swirling rainbow line. The rock guards turned to look. Tommy quickly slipped past them. He reached for the BLUE button on the switch. He pushed it hard. The machine sputtered, coughed, and then… stopped! The red light faded, and a wave of color rushed back. The Red Realm wasn't so angry anymore. As the red light faded, the mountain began to look calmer. Color was shooting out everywhere to the rest of Colorworld. The rock guards crumbled into piles of ordinary red rocks. Tommy, Craggon, and Hue cheered! Colorworld was safe again! They began their journey back. Everyone missed them back at home and wanted to say thank you for all of their brave work to save Colorworld.
