Setting Sail on Summer's Sea
The sun, a molten coin in azure skies, Kissed Maëlya's cheek, as laughter filled her eyes. Atop the 'Sea Serpent,' her family's pride, With sails unfurled, they journeyed far and wide. Her father, Captain Corvus, strong and bold, Her mother, Seraphina, a story to be told, And little Maëlya, with ribbons in her hair, Dreamed of treasures hidden beyond compare. The salty spray, a playful, dancing mist, Upon their faces, a joyous, sunlit tryst. But shadows lurked, a pirate ship in sight, 'The Raven's Claw,' a menacing, dark blight. Captained by Silas, cruel and full of spite, He vowed to stop them, and steal their share of light. His raucous crew, a motley, fearsome band, Prepared to halt them, on sea and on sand. Maëlya, though small, felt a tremor in her soul, Yet courage bloomed, as she took her mighty role. "Father," she whispered, "I have a plan," "A treasure hunt, by the pirate's own hand!" Her father smiled, a glimmer in his gaze, To hear his daughter brave in such a maze. For Silas' weakness, a notorious flaw, A love for riddles, a puzzle to enthrall. Maëlya, with rhymes and verses, would be his match, And outsmart him clever, and turn back his snatch. The 'Sea Serpent' danced, 'gainst The Raven's Claw', Like a playful kitten, defying nature's law. Silas, from afar, saw his chance to win, But Maëlya's words, set his chase to begin. Her rhymes so clever, her wit so keen and bright, Silas' crew, was charmed by the amazing sight. This small girl's voice played magic on the breeze, And scattered Silas' pirate plans with ease.
The Riddle of the Rhyming Reef
Silas, the villain, though cruel and vile, Had a soft spot for riddles, a mischievous guile. Maëlya, quick-witted, seized on this weakness, And challenged old Silas, his pirate schemes to bleakness. "I pose a riddle," she called with glee, "If you can solve it, the treasure's for thee." "Three shimmering scales on a sun-kissed reef, A mermaid's song weaves through a secret sheaf. What treasure they guard, beneath waves so blue? Solve this, old Silas, to prove that you're true!" Silas pondered deeply, he scratched his pate, He considered and tried, but it was too late. Maëlya's verse had laid a clever trap, He struggled to solve it, he couldn't even clap. His crew watched enthralled as Silas strained his mind, His own rhymes and riddles left far behind. His fierce frown turned into bewilderment and rage, As Maëlya's words, turned his plans to a stage. His crew, amused by the small girl's artful display, Started to laugh as Silas faded away. For Maëlya's cleverness, a battle was won, Their path to the treasure, safely was begun. The 'Raven's Claw' turned tail, and sailed far away, Leaving the Sea Serpent to a brighter day.
