Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, lived a happy girl named Lily. Lily had bright, sparkly blue eyes and hair the color of sunshine, always tied up in two bouncy pigtails. She wore a lovely pink dress with little white daisies on it and shiny red shoes that went 'tap-tap-tap' when she walked. Her best friends were Pop the Good, a fluffy white cloud who loved to make rainbows, Pop from the Park, a tiny green frog who loved to hop, and Silly Zoom, a very fast ladybug with bright red wings. They loved to play together.
Today was a special day! Mom had a big, blue swimsuit, her favorite one-piece! It was big, big, big, much too big for tiny Lily. Mom put the big blue swimsuit into the washing machine. Whirrrrr! Around and around it went. Lily giggled. Pop the Good watched from the window, making a tiny rainbow arc. Pop from the Park croaked, "Splash splash!" Silly Zoom zoomed around the soap suds.
Next, Mom carried the wet swimsuit to the dryer. The dryer was a big, rumbling box. Mom opened the door, and Lily peered inside. "Can I help, Mommy?" Lily asked with a big smile. "Of course, my sweet pea!" Mom said, her brown hair gently swaying as she bent down. Lily helped Mom put the big, wet swimsuit inside. Plop!
Mom closed the door. The dryer started to rumble and tumble. "Tum-ble, tum-ble, tum-ble!" Mom hummed. Lily watched the dryer door. She saw the big blue swimsuit spinning, spinning, spinning. It was warm inside the dryer! "Look, Mommy!" Lily pointed. "It's getting smaller!"
Mom peeked too. "Oh, my! It is getting smaller!" Mom pretended to be surprised. Lily's eyes twinkled. The big swimsuit was not so big anymore. It was getting smaller and smaller, like magic! Pop the Good made a little wink with rainbow light. Pop from the Park croaked, "Shrink, shrink!"
Lily clapped her hands. "It's becoming MY size!" she cheered. The swimsuit tumbled and tumbled. And then, ding! The dryer stopped. Mom opened the door. Lily rushed to see. And there it was! The blue swimsuit, all dry and warm, was now just the right size for Lily! It matched her blue eyes perfectly!
Lily quickly put on the little blue swimsuit. It fit perfectly! She twirled around. "Look at me, Mommy! I have a blue swimsuit!" she exclaimed, her pigtails bouncing. Mom gave her a big hug. "You look wonderful, princess! Now we can go splash in the water!" Pop the Good made a big, happy rainbow. Pop from the Park jumped with joy, and Silly Zoom buzzed a happy tune. It was a happy day for Lily and her shrinking swimsuit fun!
