StoryBee writes illustrated stories from a one-line idea, tuned to your child's age (2 to 13), in 39 languages and 15 genres, from fairy tales to mysteries. Your child can be the hero, you can turn their drawing into a story, and on Bee Hive and higher plans you can record your voice and have stories narrated in it.
Oscar Stories makes illustrated bedtime stories with your child as the hero, built around a life lesson such as honesty or kindness. It also offers stories set in classic worlds like The Jungle Book and Grimm's tales. Family members and friends can appear in stories, and it runs on iOS, Android, and the web.
Bedtimestory.ai creates illustrated stories with five pictures each and consistent characters, plus "pop-up books" that add narration and fun facts. All paid plans include unlimited stories; the tiers differ in how many pop-up books you get each month. A private mode keeps your stories out of its public library.
Bedtime Stories focuses on narration. You can record a 10-second clip so stories play in your own voice, or choose from more than 100 AI voices. It offers reading levels from ages 3–4 up to 9–12, narration in 7 languages, and offline downloads on iOS and Android.
Story Spark is closer to a book studio than a nightly story app. You can create illustrated storybooks, comics, and longer books, build characters from photos of your child, pet, or toy, and order hardcover prints.
Childbook.ai writes and illustrates a children's book from your idea, or illustrates text you've written, with a focus on keeping characters consistent from page to page. It supports "any language", exports to PDF, and can print softcover copies.
