Aaru Meets Dilly-Dragon
Aaru, a tiny spark of a girl with bright, curious eyes and a giggle like wind chimes, stood in a land of cotton-candy clouds. Her red overalls were comfy. She saw a friendly dragon named Dilly, who was big and green with sparkly wings! Dilly looked sad, his tail drooped low. He could not fly up high.
Wiggle, Wiggle, Wings!
Aaru thought hard. She tugged on Dilly's big green tail. "Wiggle, wiggle, wings!" she chanted. Dilly tried to wiggle, but his tail bumped on a cloud. "Bonk!" went Dilly's tail. He tried to flap his wings, 'whoosh, whoosh!' But still, no sky soaring. Aaru’s brow furrowed, a tiny wrinkle of thought.
The Berry Boost!
Aaru spotted shimmering, juicy 'boost-berries' on a cloud bush. "Yummy!" she giggled. She picked a fat red berry and offered it to Dilly. "Eat, eat!" Dilly munched. "Nom, nom, nom!" He ate all the yummy berries. A warmth spread through his belly. His tail gave a little flutter, not a 'bonk'!
Up, Up, and Away!
Dilly felt strong! Aaru climbed onto his back, holding tight. "One, two, three, UP!" she shouted. Dilly flapped his sparkly wings. 'Swish, whoosh, zoom!' he went! They flew over the happy cloud-land, giggling all the way. Aaru clapped her hands, her red overalls a blur against the sky. Dilly soared, his wobbly tail now strong and steady. Dilly loved flying with Aaru on his back!
