Wake Up, Olive!
Olive the owl lived in a cozy tree. The sun was coming up. Olive was sleeping soundly. Sunny, the butterfly, fluttered near. "Wake up, Olive!" she chirped. Olive stretched her wings. "Good morning, Sunny!" Olive said. Sunny's wings sparkled bright yellow. "Let's see the sunrise!" Sunny said. They flew to the top of the tallest tree. The sky was getting brighter. The sun was peeking over the hills. It was big and orange. "Wow!" Olive gasped. The sun made everything warm. Olive felt happy. She loved the new day! Sunny smiled. "The sun wakes us up!" Sunny said. Olive blinked her big eyes. It was a beautiful morning sky. She chirped happily to Sunny. She loved the colors of the morning. Everything looked so fresh and new. The air smelled sweet. Olive was ready for a fun day.
Flying with Sunny
Sunny fluttered her wings. "Let's fly!" she said to Olive. Olive flapped her own wings. They flew over the green trees. They saw colorful flowers below. Red, blue, and yellow flowers everywhere. Olive pointed her wing. "Look, Sunny! Flowers!" Olive said. Sunny giggled. "Those are daytime flowers!" Sunny said. Olive watched the flowers sway gently. They looked very happy in the sun. Sunny showed Olive a busy bee. The bee was getting nectar. "Bees love the sun!" Sunny told Olive. Olive learned new things all day. She flew with Sunny, seeing all the bright colors. Olive felt so excited. The forest was full of fun. Olive was happy to share it with Sunny. They soared higher and higher. They looped and circled and danced in the sky. Eventually they landed to rest in a field of soft grass and clover.
Nighttime with Starry
The sun went down. The sky turned dark blue. Olive yawned. Starry, the firefly, zipped close. "Hello, Olive!" Starry glowed. Olive opened her big eyes. "Hello, Starry!" Olive replied. Starry's light was soft and green. "It's time for stars!" Starry said. They flew up, up, up into the night. Olive looked at the sky. Tiny stars twinkled everywhere. "So many stars!" Olive whispered. Starry blinked her light. "The night sky is magic!" Starry said. Olive saw the moon. It was round and white. It gave off a gentle light. Olive was in awe of the night. She watched the shining stars with Starry. Starry danced and shimmered through the air, leaving trails of light behind her. She made them into shapes for Olive to see. Olive giggled, looking excitedly. Finally, they settled on a branch together, staring up at the vast cosmic canvas.
Day and Night, All So Bright!
Olive learned about day and night. Sunny showed her the sun. Starry showed her the stars. Olive understood. The sun makes the day bright. The stars make the night shine. She loved both times. Olive hugged Sunny. She hugged Starry. "Thank you!" Olive said happily. Sunny and Starry smiled. "We love showing you!" they said. Olive closed her eyes. She thought about the sun and the stars. She thought about the day and the night. She knew she had friends to show her more. She felt so lucky. Olive was glad to learn about her world. She understood that everything had its own special reason to exist. The fireflies and sunny and Olive all loved living together and all benefited each other. The world was a shared place, and each one loved it.
