Once upon a time, in a land filled with sparkly rivers and lollipop trees, lived Princess Lily. Lily lived in a big, bouncy castle with her fluffy bunny, Snowdrop. Snowdrop had long white fur and a twitchy pink nose. Lily loved to giggle. Her giggles sounded like tinkling bells. One sunny morning, Lily woke up, but something was wrong. She tried to giggle, but no sound came out! Her laugh was gone! Lily was very sad. She looked at Snowdrop. Snowdrop wiggled his nose. He looked sad too.
"Oh, Snowdrop! My laugh is lost! What will I do?" Lily asked.
Snowdrop hopped to the window. He looked outside. Lily followed him. She saw Bounce from the Garden, a friendly squirrel with a bushy tail. Bounce was planting flower seeds. "Bounce!" Lily called. "My laugh is gone! Can you help me find it?"
Bounce looked up. He twitched his nose. "Your laugh is gone? Oh dear! A lost laugh is a very sad thing. I saw Nice Zippy, the snail, sliding towards the Whispering Woods. Maybe she heard something," Bounce said.
Lily and Snowdrop thanked Bounce and went towards the Whispering Woods. The Whispering Woods were not scary. They just whispered secrets to the wind. When Lily and Snowdrop reached the woods, they saw Nice Zippy. Nice Zippy was a shiny snail with a bright blue shell. She was munching on a big green leaf.
"Nice Zippy!" Lily called. "Have you heard my laugh? It's lost!"
Nice Zippy stopped munching. She blinked her googly eyes. "A lost laugh? Hmmm... I did hear something like bells. It went towards the Rainbow River," Nice Zippy said slowly.
"Rainbow River! Oh, thank you, Nice Zippy!" Lily said. She and Snowdrop hurried to the Rainbow River. The Rainbow River was very colorful. It sparkled with red, yellow, blue, and green.
At the Rainbow River, Lily saw Pop from the School. Pop was a smart little bird with bright orange feathers and glasses. He was building a little boat from leaves and twigs.
"Pop! Have you seen my laugh? It’s lost!" Lily asked.
Pop looked up from his boat. He adjusted his glasses. "A lost laugh? I heard a tinkling sound. It floated towards the Crystal Cave," Pop said.
"Crystal Cave! Thank you, Pop!" Lily said. She and Snowdrop ran towards the Crystal Cave. The Crystal Cave was filled with shiny, sparkly crystals. The crystals twinkled like stars. Inside the cave, Lily saw something strange. It was a little jar with a sparkly lid. The jar was glowing softly. Lily went closer. She peeked inside. The jar was filled with tiny, floating bubbles. The bubbles shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow.
Suddenly, Lily remembered! Yesterday, she was playing in the garden. She was laughing and laughing. Her giggles were so loud, they floated into the air. She saw a jar, and she thought it would be fun to catch her laugh. So she popped the lid and caught her giggles in the jar! Then, she forgot all about it.
"Oh, Snowdrop! I found my laugh!" Lily said. She carefully opened the jar. The tiny bubbles floated out. They tickled Lily’s nose. Suddenly, Lily started to giggle. The giggles were like tinkling bells. They filled the Crystal Cave. Snowdrop hopped up and down. He wiggled his nose happily.
Lily giggled and giggled. She was so happy to have her laugh back. She knew she would never catch her laugh in a jar again. Laughs are meant to be shared! Lily and Snowdrop ran back to the Rainbow River. They thanked Pop for his help. Then, they went to the Whispering Woods and thanked Nice Zippy. Finally, they went to the garden and thanked Bounce.
Lily learned that day that a laugh is a very special thing. It’s even better when you share it with your friends. And from that day on, Lily's giggles filled the land with joy.
