No Stars for the Lanterns!
Luna, a small girl with bright, curious eyes and a sparkling blue cape, looked up. "Oh no!" she whispered. Her pet gecko, Zippy, with scales like emeralds, chirped from her shoulder. The night sky was dark, no stars for the lantern festival! A big problem for Luna and her friends. Where did the stars go?
A Flash and a Dash!
Luna zoomed up, her cape fluttering like a flag. Her superpower made her super fast! Zippy clung tight, his tiny eyes scanning everything. They whizzed past big trees and tall houses. "Zoom!" said Luna. "Chirp!" said Zippy. No stars found. Just dark, dark sky.
A Sparkle in the Garden
Zippy pointed to Mrs. Gable's garden, filled with glowing mushrooms. Luna swooped down. There, tangled in a big rose bush, were little shiny things! Not stars, but glittery fairy lights from the festival. A mischievous squirrel had gathered them! He thought they were snacks. Oh, silly squirrel!
Stars for Our Festival!
Luna and Zippy gently carried the sparkling fairy lights back. They hung them on the lanterns! "Look!" cried a child. The lanterns glowed, twinkled like real stars. Everyone cheered! Luna smiled, her superpower helping everyone. The festival was bright and happy, all thanks to Luna and Zippy's quick thinking.
