A Cloud of Doubt at Dragon Academy
Far above the clouds, Skyfire Peaks shimmered. Rainbow bridges arched between floating islands. Friendly dragons zoomed past crystal mountains. Waterfalls flowed upward into the sky. Giant clouds bounced like playgrounds. Nova, with her glowing Story Core, arrived at Dragon Academy. Young dragons were practicing their fire breathing. Roars echoed. Flames danced. But one small dragon, Ember, hid behind a tall cloud. Ember's snout stayed cool, no fire sparked. Ember felt a deep embarrassmen. Nova noticed Ember's quiet corner.
The Whispering Wind and Wobbly Wings
Nova floated gently towards Ember. "Hello!" she chirped, her Story Core pulsing softly. Ember flinched, then peeked out. Ember's scales were a soft, smoky gray. Ember's eyes were wide and nervous. "I… I can't breathe fire," Ember whispered, looking down at dusty claws. "It's just a puff of smoke. Not a strong blaze like everyone else." Nova offered a warm smile. "Sometimes, the greatest bravery isn't about what you can do, but what you choose to try. What if we tried something different?" Ember lifted a hesitant head, a tiny spark of curiosity flickering.
A Shaky Bridge and a Quick Idea
The strong gust of wind shook a rainbow bridge. Crystals on the bridge shimmered, then cracked. A loud 'CRACK!' echoed. Young dragons on the bridge cried out, clutching the railings. The bridge began to wobble. Nova's Story Core glowed brighter. "Ember, we need to help them!" she urged. Ember trembled. "But… I can't fly as fast as the others! And I certainly can't melt anything to fix it!" Nova thought quickly. "You don't need to melt it, Ember. You need to hold it. Your wings, Ember. They're strong!" Ember looked at their own wings, then at the wobbling bridge. Fear still gnawed, but Nova's words sparked a different kind of warmth.
Wing-Power and a Shared Burden
Nova flew to the wobbly bridge. "Grab on, little ones!" she instructed the panicked dragons. Ember, despite trembling, took a deep breath. "Okay, Nova!" Ember zoomed forward, not with speed, but with steady, powerful wingbeats. Ember positioned their body directly under the cracking part of the bridge. Ember spread their wings wide, pushing upwards with all their might. Ember's scales scraped against the crystal. Ember's muscles burned. The bridge groaned, but it stopped its frantic wobble. The other dragons, seeing Ember's bravery, started to help Nova guiding the smaller dragonets off the dangerous span.
