Missing Orange Sock!
Spark the Wise from the Park, a squirrel with fluffy red fur and a detective hat, stared at his feet. One foot had a blue sock, the other was bare! His favorite orange sock was gone! He needed to find it for the "Wobbly Wood Dance Party" tonight. He looked under his acorn chair. "Where could it be?" he chittered softly.
Rosie's Bushy Clue
Spark scurried to Rosie the Rabbit's burrow. Rosie, a white fluffy rabbit with long, floppy ears and a pink bow, nibbled a carrot. "No orange sock here, Spark," she munched. "But I saw a flash of orange near the berry bushes!" Spark peered at the big, green bushes. He pushed his nose in, wiggling his whiskers. Nothing!
Twisty Twig Trail
The 'twig' wiggled! It was not a twig, but a long, brown inchworm named Wally. "Hello, Detective Spark!" Wally chirped. "Looking for something? I saw a bright orange thing! It rolled this way, then bounced over that big, bumpy root!" Spark’s nose twitched. He followed Wally’s wobbly path, peeking behind the bumpy root. No sock, but a tiny feather, orange and soft, lay on the ground.
Pip's Cozy Nest
Spark scampered to Pip the Robin's nest, high in an oak tree. Pip, a tiny robin with bright red breast and sparkly eyes, chirped happily. "Look, Spark! My cozy new bed!" And there it was! His orange sock, folded neatly, lining Pip's nest! Spark giggled. He gently took his sock, promising Pip a new, soft leaf for her nest. Now both had cozy feet and a cozy nest!
