The current became faster and stronger, and various dangerous rapids and winding turns made it difficult to navigate. At one point, Maya noticed a strange, flickering light emanating from beneath the surface. Diving into the river (after a brief moment of hesitation and Leo's reassurances), she found another hourglass, this one filled with swirling, silvery sand. It was crafted from polished obsidian, far more refined than the previous ones found. A large, moss-covered rock hidden by the river held clues about the final hourglass location. The discovery was rewarding, hinting at the increasing urgency of their mission. Leo guided the boat through the treacherous waters using his knowledge of river currents and his quick thinking. Following the clue, they navigated a complex maze of river channels to reach their destination.

The final clue guided them to the hidden compartment in their grandfather's antique clock, which, when opened with the crystal key obtained when they solve the river's riddle and a code Leo figured out from the symbols in the cave, revealed the final hourglass – golden sand within a frame of pure gold. Inserting all three hourglasses into a special mechanism found near the treehouse base caused it to glow brightly and stabilize. As they watched the light flow between the hourglasses, the treehouse solidified; the swirling energies within corrected the time anomaly. Their adventure was over; they had not only saved the treehouse but had also gained a deeper understanding of history and the importance of teamwork and problem-solving.
