In a land bursting with colors, where trees had sparkly leaves and rivers giggled as they flowed, lived a tiny princess named Pip. Princess Pip loved to explore! She wore a daisy chain in her bright red hair and a dress as blue as the clear sky. Her eyes, big and curious, twinkled like the morning dew. Pip was always humming a happy tune as she skipped through the royal gardens, looking for new and exciting things.
One sunny morning, Princess Pip heard a sound she'd never heard before. It wasn't a bird's tweet, or a bee's buzz, or even her bouncy puppy, Piff's, happy yip. It was a soft, gurgly plink-plonk sound, coming from behind the biggest, bluest hydrangea bush. Pip tiptoed closer, her heart going thump-thump like a tiny drum. She peeked around the bush, and her jaw dropped, her eyes wide as saucers.
There, nestled among the giant, round blue flowers, was a baby dragon! But this wasn't just any dragon. This dragon was as green as fresh grass, with little purple spots that looked like tiny berries. Its wings were shiny, like a dragonfly's, and its little nose was pink and wobbly. And instead of fire, out of its mouth came… bubbles! Big, shiny, wobbly bubbles of all colors, floating and popping with that same plink-plonk sound. "Oh!" whispered Pip, her voice barely a breath. "A bubble dragon!"
The baby dragon blinked its big, golden eyes at Pip. It let out a soft squeak and then, POP! A big, rainbow bubble floated right up to Pip's nose. Pip giggled. "Hello, little dragon!" she whispered. The dragon wagged its tiny tail, which had a fluffy white tip, and blew another stream of bubbles. Pip clapped her hands. "You are so special! What's your name?"
The dragon just blew more bubbles. Pip thought for a moment. "I'll call you… Bubbly!" she declared. Bubbly seemed to like that, because it did a little happy wriggle and blew a giant bubble that shimmered like a rainbow. Pip reached out a finger and gently touched the bubble. POP! It tickled her nose. She laughed, a bright, bubbly sound.
Bubbly looked a little sad then. Its little head drooped, and its shiny wings sagged. Pip wondered why. She saw that Bubbly was trying to reach a tall, juicy berry bush, but it was just too short. Its little paws scrabbled at the air. "Oh, you want berries!" Pip understood. She loved berries too! "Don't worry, Bubbly. I can help!"
Pip looked around. The bush was very tall, and the berries were at the very top. She tried to jump, but they were still too high. "Hmm," she thought. She saw a sturdy, old gardening stool nearby, forgotten by the royal gardener. It was a little wobbly, but it looked strong enough. "Wait here, Bubbly!" she told the dragon.
She pushed and pulled the stool with all her might. It scraped scritch-scratch along the path. Pip huffed and puffed, her cheeks turning a little red. Finally, she got the stool right next to the berry bush. "There!" she beamed. She climbed onto the stool, her blue dress swishing. She stretched her arm up, , and plucked a handful of the reddest, juiciest berries. "Here you go, Bubbly!" she said, holding them out.
Even small friends can solve big problems with imagination and teamwork, and being different is wonderful.

Bubbly's eyes lit up! It delicately took the berries with its little snout and munched them happily, making soft munch-munch sounds. After eating, Bubbly looked at Pip, then at the berry bush. Its golden eyes seemed to ask, "More?" Pip understood. Bubbly was still hungry!
But the stool was just a little too short to reach all the best berries. Pip thought hard. She looked at Bubbly, who was blowing tiny, hopeful bubbles. She looked at the bush. She looked at her own hands. Then, an idea sparked in her mind! "Bubbly! Your bubbles! They're so light!"
Pip pointed to a big, sturdy branch above the bush. "Can you blow a really, really big bubble? A super-duper strong one?" Bubbly tilted its head, then gave a mighty huff and puff. Out came a bubble! It grew and grew, bigger than Pip's head, bigger than Bubbly itself! It glowed with all the colors of the rainbow, stronger than any bubble Pip had ever seen.
"Wow!" breathed Pip. She carefully reached out and tried to grab the bubble. It felt a little sticky, but it was surprisingly firm. "Hold on, Bubbly!" she instructed. Pip carefully put her feet on the ground and then, with Bubbly's help, she gently pushed the giant bubble until it was right under the highest branches of the berry bush. "Now!" she said, carefully stepping onto the big, bouncy bubble. It wobbled a little, making her giggle, but it held her weight! She could reach all the berries now!
Pip carefully picked handful after handful of berries, dropping them into a large, sparkly leaf she'd found. Bubbly watched, its tail wagging like a happy puppy. Soon, the leaf was overflowing with delicious berries. Pip carefully stepped off the bubble, which popped with a soft Pooof! as she landed.
"Look, Bubbly!" she said, showing the dragon the pile of berries. Bubbly let out a happy chirp and began to munch. Pip sat beside it, sharing the feast. As they ate, a little bluebird landed on Pip's shoulder and chirped a sweet tune. Bubbly blew a tiny, delicate bubble that floated right past the bird's beak, making it chirp even louder, as if laughing.
Pip realized something wonderful. Even though Bubbly was different, breathing bubbles instead of fire, it was still a very helpful and special friend. And Pip, by thinking and trying, had helped Bubbly too! They had worked together, like two peas in a pod. From that day on, Princess Pip and Bubbly the bubble dragon were the best of friends, exploring the colorful land and having bubble-filled adventures, proving that even small friends can solve big problems with a little imagination and teamwork.
